About Us
Good Flyte was founded by Nick and Matt – lifelong friends, frequent flyers, and firm believers that air travel shouldn’t leave you feeling drained when you land.
We first met in 2010, working at a fast-paced tech start-up in Cambridge, UK. That job had us travelling constantly – hopping between airports, time zones, and meetings. Between long flights and even longer days, we often found ourselves talking about one day starting something of our own.
But first, life took us in different directions.
Matt moved to Australia and later San Francisco, where he launched a tech company that scaled rapidly and was acquired by a global business. Never one to sit still, he went on to build another successful venture and now advises start-ups and sits on the boards of companies around the world. He’s also a dedicated ultramarathon runner, with a deep understanding of performance, recovery, and the role supplements play in both.
Nick, meanwhile, followed a lifelong dream of becoming a commercial pilot. Over the past decade, he’s progressed from cadet to Captain at a major European airline – gaining first-hand experience of just how physically demanding flying can be, particularly in terms of hydration, fatigue, and mental sharpness at altitude.
Despite our different career paths, we’ve always stayed close. We often caught up on long runs, where conversations naturally turned to performance, energy, and supplements. One day, we got onto the topic of flying and how it leaves you feeling flat – tired, foggy, and generally off. Nick mentioned using supplements on long flights, but found that most were designed for athletes, not the flight deck.
That conversation stuck with us – and it sparked something bigger.
We began researching the effects of flying on the body. We spoke with experts in renal function, physiology, and aerospace health to understand what’s really happening at 35,000 feet. The air in aircraft cabins is drier than the Sahara Desert. Cabin pressure drops. Blood volume shifts. And your body loses fluid far more rapidly than you think. Most supplements, especially those formulated for sport, simply aren’t designed for this environment – and in many cases, they can make things worse.
So we decided to create something better.
We teamed up with doctors, researchers, and nutritionists to develop Good Flyte – a specialised hydration and vitamin formula made specifically for air travel. It’s backed by science, tailored to the unique demands of flying, and supported by our own hydration calculator to help you understand what your body needs before, during, and after a flight.
Whether you’re a pilot, a frequent business traveller, or heading off on holiday, Good Flyte helps you stay hydrated, feel clear-headed, and arrive ready for whatever’s next.
It’s the product we wish we’d had all those years ago.
Now it’s here – and we’re proud to share it with you.
